THE CIGAR DIVAN

The Cigar Divan (our licensed retail tobacco shop and separate smoking lounge) at La Bodeguita is a quiet retreat where one can enjoy a fine hand-rolled cigar from our walk-in humidor along with a cocktail or glass of aged rum.  Cocktails and beverages are self-service from the front bar as it is against California state law for any staff members to be exposed to a smoking environment. We ask that guests enjoying the Divan return their glasses to the front restaurant when finished.

The humidor is stocked with only the finest brands: Padron, Arturo Fuente, Partagas,and Macanudo, and Ashton among others. We also offer our house private label cigar from Nicaragua. Our private label cigars are aged in their final state at least 6 months - creating a smooth, medium bodied smoke. Various sizes are available and these cigars have become the most popular cigars in our humidor.

Also, La Bodeguita is the only Bay Area establishment where the Graycliff brand of cigars are available - created in the Bahamas by Avelino Lara. Graycliff cigars are rivaled only by the brands which Lara created in Cuba while overseeing the production of Cohibas and Davidoffs as director of the famous El Laguito Factory in Havana, Cuba. For many years, Lara  perfected his craft as the private torcedor (cigar-roller) to Fidel Castro, preparing the coveted Trinidad for the Commandante.  Although these are expensive - Graycliff cigars are worth the cost.
